Dr. Renee Cevey received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1996, and her MD in 2000 from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri.

In 2003, she completed her pediatric residency training in San Antonio, Texas at Wilford Hall Medical Center and Brooke Army Medical Center.  After serving as one of several staff pediatricians in pediatric clinics first on Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona and then subsequently at Wilford Hall Medical Center Pediatric Clinic, she now has gone into private practice. She and her husband are now in the stage of having one teenager just starting college and another expected to follow next year.

Dr. Cevey's passion is equipping her patients' parents with the knowledge and understanding to optimize the health and well-being of their children.  She loves teaching parents and directly teaching patients as they grow older and take a greater role in their own health care.  There are many conditions and illnesses whose management have been greatly improved by modern medications and treatments, but there are also a great many conditions and illnesses best managed by just patience and parents' "tender loving care."  Dr. Cevey views her job as the opportunity to share her experience as a mom who happens to be a pediatrician to guide parents towards recognizing which situations fall into which category.

San Antonio native Veronica joined the Cevey Pediatrics team in 2013. Veronica shares over 20 years of healthcare experience working in other medical specialties prior to pediatrics. Veronica's favorite part of her job is seeing the children grow up and being able to be a part of a team that gets them feeling better when they come in for a sick visit.

Isabella (Bella), also born and raised in San Antonio, joined Cevey Pediatrics part time in November 2025. She has worked with babies and toddlers at her church for years, and wants to help kids have medical visits that don’t feel scary. Outside of her time with our team, she is in school to achieve her dream of eventually being able to take care of kids as a pediatrician or a pediatric nurse.
